In 2016, Yellow Lizard Media, a leading video production company, was approached by Monir Ali, producer at Little Big Ego, with an exciting new challenge: shooting and editing an Asian cookery programme for Sony’s SAB TV channel called Spice Up. This marked the first time Yellow Lizard Media took on a television project, moving beyond online video production, and we were eager to rise to the occasion.
Spice Up: A Taste of Asian Cooking
The series ran for 12 episodes, each highlighting the culinary expertise of Poonam Ball. Every episode explored a different aspect of Asian cooking, offering viewers step-by-step guidance to recreate these dishes at home. The Christmas episode was a particular highlight, airing on Christmas morning and demonstrating how to prepare a festive spicy roast.
