At Yellow Lizard Media, some event shoots are about capturing the day itself. Others give you the opportunity to create a whole library of video content that can be used long after the event is over. Our latest behind the scenes project for POWWR was a great example of the latter. As well as capturing the event, including team building activities, presentations, networking and a food and drinks reception, we were also tasked with creating a huge range of additional video content for POWWR's marketing, recruitment and internal communications.

Before choosing how to frame your video, think about where the finished content is going to live. A video created for your website will usually need a different format from one designed for Instagram Reels or TikTok. If you know which platforms you are targeting before filming begins, your videographer can compose each shot with those formats in mind. This helps you avoid awkward crops, missing graphics and the occasional disappearing arm when the video is resized later.
